Ways to avoid freelance job problems
Freelance jobs seems to be profitable from all angles. One feels he/she would earn some extra money this way by working from the comforts of his/her home. But, this is not the case all the time. One may come across some common problems during or after the job is done. Following are some steps that one should keep in mind to avoid any such problems:
- Work with people having professional approach and positive attitude and respect your abilities and efforts. Discontinue working with clients who are negative in approach, difficult to contact and fault finders only.
- Clarify all the terms and conditions before starting any project. Get all your queries cleared in the beginning to avoid any misunderstanding later.
- Promise and accept a realistic deadline. Promising a project to be submitted on a deadline which is impossible to achieve will only make things worse for you. Whatever deadline you have set for the project, stick to it.
- Discuss the project in detail with the client. This will help you delivering the project exactly as per his specific requirements.
- Keep your client updated of the progress of his progress. It would be better to submit a small sample in the starting than submitting the complete project at a time.
- Make the payment terms very clear. This is the thing where most service providers face problems. Ideally request him to escrow the funds on acceptance of the project.

If the approach is more professional, it is more likely your bid will get chosen compared to someone with bad vocabulary and cannot spell a single word correctly.
Also make sure you’re not taking advantage of the freelancer. If most people are bidding $100 and someone bids $10, you know they’re not going to be able to complete it.
Don’t experiment with a project either. I’ve had to fix a few people’s blunders because they thought they could do it.

This is very true, it is very important that there is communication all the time between consumer and customer. I am a programmer and i like keeping contact with the webmasters!
