One of the newest technological breakthroughs is the car that can “read the drivers” minds. The German specialists have come up with a very interesting idea of a special dashboard that can calculate the drivers’ stress level and help them stay more focused on the road. The actual secret in this invention lies in the dashboard which would be equipped with a special system that will be able to control and keep drivers’ attention to the road. The usefulness of such a device is obvious in a world in which car accidents occur every hour throughout the world.
However, the final prototype is likely to be introduced to the market in maximum five years, as the studies of the German scientists still have a few more adjustments to face.However, the benefices of such a discovery will be noticed in no time.
The technology of this special dashboard is based on a system of stimuli that are meant to intercept the driver’s state of mind and to act accordingly, in the respect of making the driver relax and concentrate on the road. It is known that German cars are some of the most reliable cars on the market and this has also been a reason for the idea that the German scientists want to put into practice.
All in all, the mind-reading car will certainly be a reliable element for achieving the goal of road safety and for this reason it will most likely be an important feature to take into consideration when purchasing cars in the near future.

I think they should develop anti-crash technology first. For instance, if your car can detect another car and an impact trajectory, takes corrective action (ie: hit the brakes) you would save tons of lives in the process.
I don’t think people would ever completely trust anti-crash devices. The thought that a vehicle could save them might make them more careless.
I live in Ontario and they are talking about speed limiters in transport trucks so they could only do 100km an hour (the maximum speed limit on the roads). This is the type of technology that will save lifes on a short term.
Got a chuckle out of this one. Reminds me of Knight Rider. But I guess that is the next step in vehicle development.
